The final passport clinic of the year run by local MP Dave Van Kesteren will take place Aug. 21 in Blenheim.

The event takes place at Glad Tidings Community Church on Chatham Street, south of Blenheim, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Officials report there will not be a photographer on site for the clinic, and it is recommended to have photos taken in advance.

The passport clinic will be staffed by volunteers who ensure that all forms are filled out correctly and that all required documentation is included in passport applications.

The clinic accommodates first-time passport applications as well as renewals and children’s passports.

There was to be another passport clinic in Chatham in September, but officials from Van Kesteren’s office said that event is cancelled, due to the anticipated fall federal election.
