Women dominate today’s police briefs

Chatham-Kent police charged three women yesterday, one with assault, another for theft, and a third ultimately came off the police service’s Wanted List.

On Sunday, police received information about a domestic disturbance in Chatham. Officers investigated and learned a woman had assaulted her common-law husband over the weekend.

On Tuesday afternoon, police arrested their suspect.

A 32-year-old Chatham woman is charged with assault and assault with a weapon.

Also yesterday afternoon, police tracked down a woman from their Wanted List.

They found her in Wallaceburg.

A 33-year-old woman faces charges of mischief and failing to attend court.

And last night, police tracked down an alleged shoplifter in Wallaceburg.

Police say a woman stole goods from Dollar Haven in Blenheim earlier this month. Officers investigated and identified their suspect.

Last night, police found the woman.

A 29-year-old Wallaceburg woman is charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
