The lottery slogan “Just imagine the freedom,” doesn’t apply in the case of ticket theft.

Just ask a Wallaceburg man after a couple stole about $3,000 worth of lottery tickets early Sunday morning.

Chatham-Kent police say a man and a woman went into the Mac’s on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg, grabbed the tickets and took off.

Officers identified their suspects, and arrested a man last night.

A 49-year-old Wallaceburg man is charged with theft and possession of stolen property.

Police continue to look for the woman.
