Between reports of breaking into sheds and a cottage, Chatham-Kent police have been busy of late investigating unlawful acquisition of items.
Sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning, someone broke into a locked utility shed at Thompsons Ltd. in Blenheim.
Police say the thieves stole a minimal amount of copper wiring from a portable conveyor belt, but did about $1,000 damage in the process.

Sometime over the past week, thieves broke into a shed on Chenal Road near Wallaceburg and stole six Shimano Tiger fishing rods and six Okuma reels, worth an estimated $2,000 combined.

And sometime between last Thursday and yesterday, somebody got into a cottage under renovation on Adelaide Street in Shrewsbury, making off with about $700 in tools.
