Chatham-Kent police are asking for the public’s assistance tracking down a variety of thieves today.

Sometime between Friday and Monday, someone stole a white 1987 Chevy Camaro IROC on Kimball Road near McCreary Line just outside Wallaceburg. The vehicle has tinted windows, a T-roof and was last seen with a dealer plate attached.

The police are also looking for whoever stole a silver 2005 Dodge Ram pickup this morning shortly after midnight from a residence on Wallace Street in Tupperville.

The truck has a whit cap, an extension ladder on the roof and was last seen with Ontario plates ATP03.

Sometime Monday afternoon between noon and 4 pm., someone broke into a residence on Angler Line in Dover Township.

Thieves made off with a TV, surround sound system, booze and jewelry, police say.

On Sunday morning, shortly before 4:30 a.m., someone broke into a storage unit at Jack’s Tire Craft on McCreary Line in Wallaceburg and stole tires.

It may be the middle of a so-far mild winter, but even thieves seem to be thinking about warmer weather. Sometime between Sunday at 5 p.m. and Monday at 8 a.m., someone got into a shed on Chatham Street North in Blenheim, causing about $50 damage, and stole a 42-inch black lawn sweeper valued at $300.

Finally, sometime within the last month, thieves got into a garage on Beechwood Line and stole a welder, small motor and cable, worth an estimated combined $1,100.
