Pedestrian struck by vehicle

A Chatham woman faces charges after a car clipped a pedestrian last night in town.

Police say about 6 p.m. Wednesday evening, the pedestrian, a 57-year-old Chatham woman, suffered minor injuries when she was hit by a vehicle on Park Avenue West near O’Neill Street.

She had to be taken to hospital for treatment.

The driver, a 26-year-old Chatham woman, is charged with failing to stop at a crossover.

  1. It seems to be endemic everywhere. I lived in St Thomas for 5 years recently I had a bicycle. I would get off my bike to cross at crosswalks and I still got hit three times by a car. I waited I looked they don’t that’s all there is to it.
