Thousands stolen in recent B&Es

A Pioneer Line family is out about $20,000 in goods after someone broke into their home sometime between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday.

Police say the culprits forced their way in, doing about $5,000 damage in the process.

Once inside, they stole four TVs – a 60-inch Sharp, a 51-inch Samsung, as well as 42-inch and 32-inch sets. The thieves also made off with two iPad minis, one with a red and black case, the other with sparkles on the case; an iPad 2; speakers; receivers; amplifiers; and jewelry.

Thieves also made off with televisions from a Wallaceburg residence recently.

Police say sometime between June 14 and 8 p.m. Monday night, someone got into an Albert Street residence and stole two Samsung TVs, a 56-inch and a 42-inch.

Total value of the stolen goods is estimated at about $2,000.
