This from our friends at the Kinsmen Club:
The 73rd Chatham Spring Fest is only a day away.

The Chatham Kinsmen Fair takes place June 7-10 and features the Carter Show’s midway. New this year is the seven-storey Wadkins Expo Wheel.

Also on tap are: The Tilt a Whirl, Area 51, & Starship 2000! Let’s not forget the young ones in your family as there are many rides for them as well.

Thursday night is Family Day. If you bring a can food for Outreach for Hunger and place it in one of the South Buxton Stock Racing Cars on display you will have a chance to win an all-day ride pass.

On Friday the fair opens at 2 p.m. We have Jacklyn Wills singing at 3:45 p.m. and later on, there will be Classic Champion Wrestling starting at 6:30 p.m. inside the arena. This year we have a nice bar serving cold drinks and a tribute band salute to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Show beginning 8:30 p.m. till 11:00 p.m. Lots to see and do please join us!

On Saturday and Sunday we have Tiger Paw Exotics who specialize in the odd, the unusual and of course many adorable animals. There will be camels, zebras, kangaroos, lemurs, & parrots just to name but a few! Why not come & learn about their country of origin and natural habitat. Throughout the afternoon there will be various characters roaming around with a special clown giving away free balloons and the Paw Patrol. Also, this year there is an Elmer the Safety Elephant Colouring Contest for children ages 3 to 12 years old with cash prizes for the winners. Information can be obtained at Subway stores or the main Kinsmen website (www.chathamkinsmen.ca).

On Saturday the Kinsmen Bar will be serving up cold ones with some nice live music happening inside the arena starting at noon. For your pleasure, there are local bands playing and at 3:45 p.m. along with Jaqueline Verellen. In the evening ‘The Notorious Motley Crue Tribute Band’ will be playing until 11 p.m.

Also, on Saturday there will be a Teenage Madness Special where it costs only $17.00 to ride all evening from 8:00 p.m. till 11:00 p.m. So, why not facebook with your friends and tell them to come and hang out at the Fair for some fun rides and laughs.

Save $5 dollars!! Advance Ride Tickets are available at Subway stores & Giant Tiger in Chatham and the cost is only $25 in Advance or $30 at the Fair. For more information visit the Kinsmen Fair website at (www.chathamkinsmenfair.ca).
