Four incumbent councillors filed their nomination papers recently, announcing their intent to seek re-election this fall.
They include veteran councillors Doug Sulman and Bryon Fluker. Sulman is seeking re-election in Chatham, while Fluker is running again in West Kent.
Steve Pinsonneault, another veteran incumbent, albeit with not quite the same length of service as Sulman and Fluker, announced he is running again in East Kent.
Mark Authier joined Fluker in seeking re-election in West Kent.
Drew Simpson, who is running as an independent candidate in the June provincial election, also filed his papers to run for council in Chatham.
John Van Heck is running for school board trustee for the Catholic board in Wards 4 and 5.
They join mayoral hopefuls Darrin Canniff and Alysson Storey, as well as council candidates Chris June, Kirk Hooker and Karen Kirkwood-Whyte in Chatham; Henry Svec and incumbent Frank Vercouteren in South Kent; incumbent David VanDamme in East Kent; Nicolas Cadotte and incumbent Carmen McGregor in Wallaceburg, and Bob Demers as a school board trustee.
This list is complete as of May 14.
