From left, local Masons Clare Curtis, Brian Wright, Brian Case and Terry Maynard stand vigil at the Chatham cenotaph Monday as part of CK Keeping 150, a 150-hour non-denominational event organized by Judy Smith and Mark Sceviour of Christ Church Chatham. Groups are maintaining three-hour vigils at the monument on King Street from until Remembrance Day services on Saturday. Case said the Masons wanted to be part of the event to honour the people who fought for our country. “I have lost loved ones; we do this for them. We stand here and honour them,” Case said.
