If you’ve got leaves to take to the Chatham Leaf and Yard Depot today or tomorrow, it’s best to make other plans.
The depot will be closed Monday and Tuesday to allow for the completion of an expansion of the site.
Municipal officials say the expansion will make it considerably larger, more accessible and safer not only for ratepayers but also municipal employees.
The alternate dumping point for yard waste is the Harwich transfer station on Communication Road just south of Highway 401. It will be open from noon until 5 p.m. both days.
