A Thamesville man was arrested for assault and harassment after a woman feared for her safety yesterday.
Around 2:40 a.m., a man sent his ex-wife text messages that caused her to fear for her safety and the safety of her children. Police were notified and learned the man was also watching her through a surveillance system. A previous incident of domestic assault was also disclosed.
Early this morning, police located the man and he was arrested. The 42-year-old Thamesville man has been charged with assault and two counts of criminal harassment. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
