Chatham-Kent police were kept busy with alcohol-related incidents over the last two days.

Late last night, a 33-year-old Chatham man was located passed out in the front lawn of an apartment complex on Baldoon Road in Chatham. The man was unable to care for himself and was subsequently arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters where he was held until sober.

Then early this morning, police were called to Peter Street in Bothwell for a disturbance where they located a 25-year-old Bothwell man highly intoxicated and unable to care for himself. He was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and held until sober.

Also early this morning, police followed a vehicle on Grand Avenue in Chatham with no lights on and swerving between the lanes. Police initiated a traffic stop and through investigation, the officer believed the male driving was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters for breath tests.

The 28-year-old Moraviantown man has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.  He has been released pending a future court date.
