Belle Starr, the trio of Stephanie Cadman, Kendel Carson and Miranda Mulholland, has packed up the fiddles are and hit the road.
Their winter tour will kicked off in Red Deer, Alta. In early February, and stops off Saturday at the Mary Webb Centre in Highgate.
“I’m thrilled to be hitting the road with Belle Starr this February,” Cadman said. “Miranda and Kendel are some of my favourite people to make music with on and off stage. It’s going to a wonderful reunion tour, excited to see many friends along the way.”
The three musicians bring experience from all genres. As busy solo artists, Mulholland is a member of indie darlings Great Lake Swimmers and founder of Roaring Girl Records; Carson is well known in the Americana world, in part from her work with songwriter Chip Taylor; and Cadman is a prize-winning fiddler and dancer and recently was featured in the Toronto production of Once.
