Fraud charges laid

A 33-year-old Taylor Ave women faces nearly 40 fraud-related charges in the the theft of more than $63,000 from a local man’s bank account.

Last August police were contacted to investigate a possible fraud that occurred over several months in Chatham. A man noticed that his bank account balance was slowly dwindling away and contacted police with a possible suspect.

Police conducted an investigation and found that over $63,000 was stolen from the man’s bank account. On Saturday January 2, the woman was charged with seven counts of fraud over $5000, five counts of fraud under $5,000, 12 counts of property obtained by crime and 12 counts of uttering forged documents.

She  was released on a promise to appear with a future court date of January 29, 2016.

  1. How do they no it was all her maybe the cops adding charges like they do .but its ok for them to have fraud and rape charges and get suspended with pay…SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE
