St. Clair College is pleased to kick off a new strategic initiative that will increase industry engagement and expand opportunities for our College students to have greater exposure with local employers.

Employer Day events will give students the opportunity to meet with local employers, explore employment opportunities and application processes and learn first-hand about their business. In turn, local employers will have a venue to showcase their business and recruitment needs to graduating students.

“St. Clair College is committed to assisting local employers in Windsor Essex and Chatham-Kent with their labour market needs and this initiative aims to help. Delivering more specialized student employment and career services is a priority for the College. With this new initiative, St. Clair will assist local employers and graduating students alike,” said Patricia France, President of St. Clair College.

Thames Campus plays host to Employer Day Thursday from 12:30 until 2 p.m. in the main lobby.

“St. Clair is pleased to be collaborating with Union Gas as the inaugural employer to launch Employer Day events.Union Gas is an ideal fit for initiatives such as this as they are an employer of choice – one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for the fifth consecutive year and offer excellent employment opportunities in our communities of Windsor Essex and Chatham-Kent,” said Karen Gill-Gore, Associate Vice President, Employment and Training Services.

“We welcome the opportunity to work with St. Clair College on this important initiative and to meet with St. Clair students to highlight the potential career opportunities at Union Gas,” said Andrea Seguin, Union Gas District Manager for Windsor/Chatham.
