Drugs seized in Chatham

Last night, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section execute a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant in Chatham.
Officers seized approximately $2500 worth of fentanyl and marijuana from the residence. A pair of brass knuckles and ammunition were also seized.
Through investigation, officers further recovered stolen construction materials, including roofing nails and shingles.
A 33-year-old Chatham man has been charged with:
– possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking
– drug possession x2
– unauthorized possession of a weapon
– possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000 x2
– possession of ammunition contrary to a Prohibition Order x4
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing
