Police hit jackpot during traffic stop

Burlington OPP detachmentPhoto by David RitchieA midnight traffic stop on Highway 401 Monday resulted in scores of drug and weapons charges against four occupants of the vehicle.

Chatham Kent OPP stopped a westbound Toyota Matrix near Charing Cross Road. A search of the car resulted in nearly $16,000 in Fentanyl patches, methamphetamine and oxycodone being seized.

Also found was a hand gun, a BB gun, ammunicaiton, a knife and cash.

The three male and one female occupants were charged with possession of drugs for trafficking, possession of restricted firearms and ammunition as well as a host of individual charges.

Michael Boudreau, 33, and George Georgakopoulous, 39 both from Mississauga and Bryan Chevalier, 24 and Amanda STRUHAR 23 both of Lakeshore were held pending a court appearance Friday.
