What began as a co-operative house cleaning effort yesterday evening ended in charges of assault with window dressing.

Police say a landlord and former tenant were jointly cleaning a residence in Orchard Heights last night in Chatham when they began arguing, and the tenant walked out and sat in a car. The landlord came up to the vehicle, according to police, and tossed a set of window blinds at the other woman, hitting her in the face.

A 39-year-old Chatham woman faces charges of assault with a weapon.
