Business accounting students past and present from St. Clair College held a free income tax return day at the Active Lifestyle Centre in Chatham on March 21.
The students completed more than 150 returns, giving them some real hands-on experience in addition to helping seniors file their returns.
St Clair students have been offering this service for the past 10 years. Shelley Cook, an instructor with St Clair, organized the students and the day. Cook checks the students’ work to make sure everything is in order before they complete the return.
