’Tis the season … for shoplifting, or so it seems.

Chatham-Kent police got called to Wal-Mart in Chatham twice Sunday night, to arrest alleged shoplifters.

At 6 p.m., police arrived to arrest a woman. Police say an employee saw a woman steal about $80 worth of groceries.

Cheryl Soloman, 46, of Chatham, is charged with theft in connection with the incident.

About two hours later, officers were back at the St. Clair Street store. Police say an employee saw a man open a Telus cell phone package and pocket the phone and sim card. Police allege the man left the store without trying to pay for the phone.

Andrew Sellors, 35, of Chatham is charged with theft in connection with the incident.
