Aubree Deprez, 17 months, shows off her bronco riding skills by riding with no hands atop one of the TJ Stable ponies that were on hand at Thursday’s Christmas in the Village at the Chatham-Kent Children’s Safety Village. Grandpa John Deprez was close by to offer assistance.

Families flocked to the Chatham-Kent Children’s Safety Village Thursday evening to take part in Christmas in the Village.

From hay rides and pony rides, to a stroll through the safety village, which was decorated for the holiday season, parents, grandparents and children enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities.

Inside, they could write letters to Santa, look at Christmas gift options, enjoy snacks and more.

Chase later admitted those presents could include such items as cars and space games.
