Perhaps episodes of “Cops – Reloaded” can be filmed in Ridgetown. Chatham-Kent police were out in force in that community last night, hoping to curtail the alcohol-induced revelry that’s occurring there among students of the Ridgetown Campus of the University of Guelph.

Police shut down three house parties, arrested four people for being intoxicated in a public place and confiscated about 40 cans and bottles of beer.

The officers got writer’s cramp as well, scribbling out 13 liquor license tickets for underage drinking and having open liquor, five noise bylaw infractions and two Highway Traffic Act tickets.

Police encourage the students to enjoy their pub nights, but remind them to do so responsibly.

Police say the enforcement will continue.
