He ran, but ultimately he couldn’t hide.
At the end of August, a Chatham-Kent police officer saw what he thought was a domestic dispute taking place on Queen Street. As he pulled up to investigate, the couple got into a van and took off, police say, resulting in a high-speed pursuit.
The officer eventually broke off the chase for public safety reasons, but recognized the driver.
Upon further investigation, the officer learned the driver had violated several release conditions, and a warrant for his arrest was issued.
Yesterday afternoon, a 34-year-old Moraviantown man was found in Hamilton and arrested. He’s back in Chatham awaiting a bail hearing.
