Chatham-Kent police say a late-night argument in Wallaceburg turned ugly Sunday morning, when a man pointed a BB gun at his girlfriend.

The two started arguing about 4:30 a.m., police say, and the fight got physical before the man picked up the BB gun and pointed it at the woman.

Police say the man is bound by a court order that prohibits him from possessing any weapons.

A 26-year-old Wallaceburg man faces charges of assault causing bodily harm, sexual assault, possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, point a firearm, weapons dangerous, four counts of uttering threats, two counts of overcoming resistance to commit an offence and three counts of assault.
