A driver turned a house into a drive-thru yesterday on Berry Street in Chatham.
Police say about 12:30 p.m., a 68-year-old woman lost control of her SUV – a Ford Escape – and drove up a front yard and right into the living room of a home.
The driver and the home’s occupant were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Damage to the SUV and the home, which now essentially has a garage in place of its living room, is estimated at $200,000.
Chatham-Kent police are still investigating.
