Local insurance brokers donated 50 of the iconic purple fleece blankets and $500 to area non-profits this holiday season, including Word of Life Church in Blenheim, Salvation Army in Ridgetown, the Dresden Food Bank and the Salvation Army in Chatham.
According to Roberta Giffin, president of the Chatham-Kent Insurance Brokers Association, these organizations were chosen because they provide necessary services to area residents, especially during the holiday season. The brokers hand-delivered their donation recently to the Salvation Army in Chatham.
