Sir: My wife and I moved here five years ago and I have never regretted leaving Elliot Lake to come “down south” to Chatham.
Well, maybe sometimes, because I love the north, but Chatham has a lot going for it. I’m proud of this town and I’m grateful that a group of Christians regularly go to the Civic Centre at 7 a.m. to pray for our mayor and councillors. Others prayerfully attend council meetings. They have often heard councillors expressing their appreciation.
I’m so grateful an area that once helped runaway slaves is still doing God’s work as He tarries.
