Wallaceburg residents raised $12,000 for the local Salvation Army Food bank within hours on CKXS 99.1’s Philanthropy Friday, held Dec. 6.
Local resident and businessman Greg Aarssen challenged the local community to step up and matched a maximum of $5,000 in donations. Wallaceburg went over and above, adding more than $7,000 for a total in excess of $12,000.
