The animal control services recommendations were approved by council.

Among the recommendations given the go-ahead: The level of dog control services will be maintained, the household dog limit will increase from two to three, and the Chatham-Kent Cat Advisory Team will not be deemed a committee of council as of March 2014, but the efforts of the group will be recognized in the RFI process.

Staff will also begin investigating replacing the current pound facility used by the OSPCA in Chatham.
