The Chatham-Kent Children’s Treatment Centre is fundraising with focus as it plants to target its most urgent program and equipment needs.

According to centre personnel, it is launching a multi-phase campaign, with the first area of focus to be a quest for $50,000 to address a list of essential equipment and service enhancements needed by children across Chatham-Kent.

Included in that list is equipment for non-verbal and low-vision children, improvements to infant therapy rooms, as well as continued funding for ongoing costs associated with the centre’s hot-water therapy pool.

A detailed description of the areas in the fundraising crosshairs can be found at childrenstreatmentfoundation-ck.com.

The ‘Simply Queen’ tribute show at the St. Clair College Capitol Theatre on Sept. 28 will raise funds for the campaign, as will the fifth annual RetroSuites Mosaic Art Gala on Oct. 18, featuring live and silent auctions of artwork created by client children and local professional artists.
