The U14 Chatham Ballhawks brought home the silver medal recently from the Tier 2 competition at the Ontario Volleyball Championships in Waterloo.
Ranked 23rd of 29 teams in the division, the Ballhawks surprised a lot of people, going 6-4.
After winning pool play games the opening two days of the tournament, the Ballhawks earned a birth in the quarterfinals.
Chatham spiked the Ottawa Fusion in the quarters, and faced the Leaside Thunder in the semis, dropping them as well.
The run ended in the final as they fell to Markham.
