Just a reminder that Chatham-Kent police will be setting up RIDE checks across the municipality over the weekend as part of Canada Road Safety Week.
The annual awareness initiative is designed to increase public compliance with safe driving practices to save lives and reduce injuries on Canada’s roads.
Over the past 24 hours, RIDE checks in Ridgetown, Chatham and Wallaceburg saw nearly 200 vehicles stopped. There were two arrests and a half-dozen warnings, police say.
