There’s bound to be something to catch your eye at the Eye 4 Art celebration at the Thames Art Gallery.

A fundraiser, aimed at encouraging creativity and fun, the event takes place at the gallery Nov. 1. Everyone is welcome to attend the biannual event.

A total of 88 pieces from 152 submissions were selected for the show by guest juror Troy Brooks, a globally recognized modern pop surrealist.

According to a recent media release, three works have been honored by Brooks with the Juror’s Awards of Excellence. The trio of recognized artists includes Tracy Bultje, Mike Thain and Meghan Peeters.

The People’s Choice Award will be determined at the gathering when the public votes.

Eye 4 Art also features gourmet fall-flavored appetizers, live acoustic music with local musician BREN, and a cash bar with a special autumn cocktail.

Event sponsors include TekSavvy, Jane and Ray Bernreuter, Chatham Cultural Centre Association, The Veranda Presents with Clair Culliford, Furlan’s Produce (Trilan Farms), Impact Graphics & Signs and CM Design & Print.

Donations are accepted at the free event, with proceeds going to ARTspace, a not-for-profit gallery dedicated to the promotion and development of Chatham-Kent artists.

Eye 4 Art is on display from Nov. 1 to Jan. 12. The Thames Art Gallery is located at 75 William St. N. in Chatham.
