A Harrow man faces impaired driving charges following a single-vehicle mishap on Highway 401 Saturday.
The OPP say they got the call shortly before 9:30 a.m. of a report of a car hitting reflective traffic cones along the eastbound lanes of the highway near the 71-km marker.
An officer spotted a vehicle matching the description stopped about 40 kilometres further up the highway, police say.
While speaking to the driver, the investigating officer observed signs of intoxication from the driver, police say. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Chatham OPP detachment for further testing.
As a result, a 42-year-old Harrow man is charged with impaired driving.
