B&E on Adelaide

Chatham-Kent police are looking for a little help from the public to track down a stolen bike.

Police got the call Tuesday over the weekend incident. It was determined someone early Saturday morning got into a garage on Adelaide Street and stole a Rocky Mountain Hybrid Men’s bike, as well as several bicycle accessories.

The investigation is ongoing at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact Const. Alexandria Mungar at alexandriam@chatham-kent.ca.

How fortuitous

While investigating another issue on William Street North in Chatham Tuesday morning, police stumbled upon another situation.

They spotted a man known to have an outstanding warrant for possession of property obtained by crime.

A 38-year-old Chatham man was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.

Skipped court date

Police located a woman on Bluewater Line in Wallaceburg Tuesday afternoon, and learned she had an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.

A 46-year-old Walpole Island woman was subsequently arrested and released with a future court date.
