Former Blenheim Blast swimmers fared well in recent university competitions.

Brendan Vanherk competed at the RSEQ (Reseau du sport etudiant du Quebec) championship, representing the University of Ottawa. He raced to four total medals – two silver medals in the 100m butterfly and 4x100m medley relay, and two bronze medals in the 200m butterfly and 200m IM.

Cora Holt, Connor Cartier, and Marty Konecny all competed at the OUA swimming championship. Holt represented Brock University and made an individual final in the 200m backstroke while also being a force on Brock’s relays.

Cartier and Konecny represented Wilfrid Laurier University, with Cartier racing to season best times, while Konecny earned the OUA men’s community service award for his leadership at Laurier and his commitment to improving swimming’s media presence through his Instagram account UniSwimCanada, which covers university swim meets across the country.
