Probation violation
Chatham-Kent police scooped up a Chatham man Monday afternoon on behalf of Sarnia police.
At 12:49 p.m., police located the man on Grand Avenue East in Chatham. The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant issued by Sarnia Police Service for failing to comply with a probation order.
A 31-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters.
Skipped court date
In May of last year, a man was arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failing to comply with a recognizance and impaired driving.
He was released with a condition to attend the Ontario Criminal Court of Justice in early June for fingerprinting. When he failed to attend for this purpose, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Monday afternoon, police say the man walked into police headquarters and turned himself in.
A 21-year-old Tilbury man was arrested and additionally charged with failing to attend for fingerprints.
Warrant arrest in Windsor
Windsor police gave their Chatham-Kent counterparts a heads up Monday evening to let them know a man wanted on an outstanding warrant here was in their custody.
The man was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
A 24-year-old Windsor man faces the following charges: break and enter and theft of a motor vehicle.
