Vehicle hits hydro pole

Fairview Line was closed for a time Thursday morning following a single-vehicle crash.

Police say someone lost control of their vehicle around 5 a.m. and slammed into a hydro pole.

Crews had to repair the pole, and the road was closed during the process, police say.

The driver, the lone occupant, was charged with careless driving.

B&E at greenhouse

Someone broke into a Talbot Trail commercial greenhouse recently and made off with a variety of tools.

Police say the break-in took place on Boxing Day, at about 6 p.m.

Once inside, the suspect stole several tools, including Milwaukee batteries, drills, and saws. The tools were engraved with “L.V.G.”

Pickup picked up

A trip to the movies Wednesday evening did not end well for the owner of a pickup truck.

Police say they got the call about 8:30 p.m. when the owner of a 2017 Dodge Ram left Galaxy Cinemas left the theatre and discovered their truck was gone.

Officers learned the vehicle was parked in the parking lot at 5:50 p.m. and was discovered missing at 8:29 p.m.

The vehicle is described as a white 2017 Dodge Ram, last seen bearing Ontario License plate BT48153. The vehicle’s box contained numerous garbage bags, which are clearly visible.
