A traffic stop led to the arrest of a man for possession of stolen items on the weekend.
A Chatham-Kent police officer spotted a suspicious vehicle, police say, on Saturday. It turns out, the vehicle had Michigan licence plates and were found to be stolen.
The 35 year old male occupant was arrested for possessing the stolen plates.
As the investigation progressed, it was learned the man had stolen the vehicle from the Windsor area and stole licence plates in the same vicinity, police allege.
Inside the vehicle was also a quantity of property believed to be obtained by crime.
The man was held pending a bail hearing.
This investigation is ongoing.
