Emergency crews were called to a residential fire on James Lane in Ridgetown on Saturday.
Upon returning to his apartment, a Ridgetown resident contacted police after discovering a fire inside the apartment.
All emergency crews attended, and firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in short order before it spread to any other units.
Crews determined the an electrical problem caused the fire which is estimated to have don about $100,000 in damage.
No one was injured in the fire.
