Quick response overnight by volunteer firefighters kept the damage to a Bothwell store to a minimum early Thursday morning, and police are investigating.
Firefighters got the call about 2:40 p.m. at Bothwell Fine Furniture on Main Street North in the East Kent community.
The crews quickly put out the fire that had made it to the eves of the building.
Damage is estimated at $25,000.
Chatham-Kent Fire & Rescue and police are looking into the cause of this fire.
