The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 642 Poppy Fund just got a nice boost, thanks to a donation from Chatham’s New Life Thrift Store.
New Life volunteers Marlene Van Raay, Chrystal Koopman and Ellen Vandersluis presented branch president Len Maynard and poppy chair Jim Mason with a cheque for $3,550 recently.
The money will be used to help Canadian veterans.
