Nearly 300 seniors enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal on the weekend thanks to FreeHelpCK.
The group worked to deliver 298 meals to seniors this year, and 30 more Thanksgiving dinners were delivered to the Victoria Park shelter as well.
FreeHelpCK is now a registered charity and organizers said they plan on additional community outreach. That includes providing a number of residents with two meals a week, as well as special occasion and holiday meals, delivered right to people’s doors.
