One man is dead and another faces second-degree murder charges folowing an altercation on Colborne Street in Chatham Friday afternoon.
Chatham-Kent police say the victim arrived at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with life-threatening injuries about 4 p.m. Friday.
Police investigated and learned the man, 28, was involved in a dispute with another man at a residence on Colborne Street.
The victim succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
A short time later, police identified and located the man they believe is responsible. A 35-year-old man is charged with second degree murder and was remanded into custody until Oct. 11.
Police say this is an isolated incident and there is no concern for public safety.
