Break-in suspect arrested
A woman faces charges after someone broke into a home in Chatham last night, knocked back an ice-cold drink, and stole a set of keys to the home.
Chatham-Kent police say they got the call about 8:15 p.m. Monday of the break-in on Emma Street.
Through investigation, police learned someone entered the residence, consumed a beverage from the fridge and caused property damage. The person also stole keys to the home.
A 39-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was arrested and charged with break and enter, mischief, theft, and possession of the stolen property.

A Sarnia man is facing charges after Chatham-Kent police say they found a man passed out behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle on Monday afternoon.
Police got the call shortly before 2:30 p.m. Monday of a vehicle stopped at the intersection of Base Line and Freedom Road in Camden Township.
Officers arrived on the scene and found the driver, and lone occupant, passed out behind the wheel.
The vehicle he was driving had been reported stolen from London, police say.
A 44-year-old Sarnia man was arrested, issued a three-day driver’s license suspension, and charged with possession of stolen.
