A grim reminder COVID-19 is still alive and unwell – Chatham-Kent lost another resident to the virus over the past week.
According to CK Public Health figures, the virus claimed its 77th C-K victim.
However, it appears to be in decline, with an average of six new cases reported per day, but no one is hospitalized locally primarily due to the virus, CK Public Health officials report.
There are, however, three new outbreaks in the area over the past seven days. Two group homes and a congregate living setting reported outbreaks.
These locations are currently the only places in the municipality with reported outbreaks of COVID-19.
