This weekend sees a rarity in Chatham-Kent during the pandemic: an event conflict.
On Saturday afternoon, The Chatham Maroons play host to the Leamington flyers in the Western Conference Finals at Memorial Arena.
At that same time, Poutine Feast is taking place all day in the arena’s parking lot.
According to municipal officials, those hoping to participate in either event will not need to worry about parking, as there will be plenty of parking spots with the addition of new temporary spots on site, along side streets, and people are permitted to park at the St. Ursula Church parking lot as there is no church service on Saturday.
For those needing spots close to the entrance, there will be some additional spots reserved near the front entrance of the arena for people who are not fully able.
As well as some additional parking on the grass area next to the playground unit will be marked out on the grass.
