Warrant arrest

In late June of last year, police attended a Chatham motel to remove a female after her stay had expired.

A 39-year-old Wallaceburg woman refused to leave, and while officers attempted to escort the female, the accused punched and kicked the officer, police say. Subsequently, the accused was arrested for assault police.

Less than a month later, police attended a different Chatham hotel to remove the same female after being evicted. While acting belligerently, woman threw a piece of garbage at the officer’s face, police say.

And on Sunday, police located the accused who had failed to attend her previous court dates and was wanted on the outstanding warrant.

She has been charged with two counts of assaulting police and failing to attend court.
