Busted for possession…of stolen property
On Tuesday, shortly before noon, Chatham-Kent police responded to a suspicious person walking on Queen Street in Chatham carrying a quick-cut saw.
Police located the man and learned the saw had been stolen during a recent break and enter at a nearby address.
A 33-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property.
Theft charges
Early yesterday evening at approximately 5 p.m., police responded to a theft complaint at a business on Wellington Street West in Chatham.
Police were advised a woman was involved and was provided a description.
Officers located the woman a short distance away. Through investigation it was also learned she was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
A 49-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
